Lease and Release: Wolston
Description
Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 18th November 1697, being a conveyance from John Winston of Little Everdon, Northants., esquire, John Farndon of Woolston, yeoman, Richard Hinde of Lilburne, Northants., gentleman and Thomas Mathew of Daventree, Northants., gentleman, with the consent and by the appointment of Fisher Wentworth late Dilke of Woolston, esquire to John Hancox the elder of Stoneley, shoemaker and his heirs, of a close called Hawkins Furze containing 15 acres, 1 rood and 36 perches then in the occupation of William Atkins, shepherd and all tithes in the said premises excepting certain sporting rights to the said Fisher Wentworth. Signed: Fisher Wentworth, John Winston, John Farndon, Richard Hinde and Thomas Mathew. Seals of red wax 1) Fisher Wentworth an armorial seal 2) John Winston seven stars 3) John Farndon three arrows 4 5) the same as 2). Witnesses: William Ward, William Attkins, Richard Higgs and Sam Pinkard. Lease from John Winston, John Farndon, Richard Hinde, Thomas Mathew and Fisher Wentworth to John Hancox of the same premises for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
