Probate of Will: Thomas Savage, Broadway

Description

The Will of Thomas Savage late of London, merchant taylor dated 16th April 1690: To my brother Walter Savage all my grounds called the Pooles Bancke and John Muckley's house and my ground called the Church Close for and during his natural life and after his death I give same to my godsonne Walter Savage and his heirs for ever; to my nephew George Savage the third son of my brother Savage and to his heirs for ever, all the rest of my estate in land or houses; to my niece Anne Savage the eldest daughter of my brother Savage £500; to my niece Mary Savage £500; to my niece Elizabeth Savage £300; to my niece Joyce Savage £200; to my cousin Benjamin Hyett of Gloucester £100 to be paid him when all the moneys sett out by him in and about Gloucester are paid or secured to my Executor and not before; to my servant Thomas Hawkins if he lives with me at my death £10 and all my wearing clothes; to my servant Mary Emes if she lives with me at my death £2; to the poor of Broadway £5 to be distributed to them in a month after my death by my Executor as he thinks good; the rest of my estate after debts etc. paid to my nephew George Savage the 3rd son of my brother Savage who I make my sole Executor.
