Description

An Indenture tripartite between Walter Savage the elder of Broadway, Worcs., esquire of the first part, Sir Richard Cocks of Dumbleton, Glos., baronet, John Cocks of Gloucester, esquire and Richard Freeman of Battesford, Glos., esquire of the second part, and Walter Savage the younger, son and heir of Walter Savage the elder, Walter Savage, the youngest son and heir of Walter Savage the younger and William Savage the elder of Broadway, gentleman, second son of the said Walter Savage the elder of the third part, being a settlement of the Broadway Court Estate upon the heirs of the said Walter Savage the elder. Signed: Walter Savage the elder with Seal Armorial (bad impression). Witnesses: Wm. Stephens, Thos Hawkins, Luke Best and Arthur Muckloe. Endorsement dated 11th June 1735 'In Chancery etc., Newport and his wife Complainants, Henry Savage Clerk Defendant - a verification by Luke Best in a cause between the above'. Endorsed by J. O. Halliwell-Phillipps 'Court Farm'.
