Agreement to Suffer a Recovery: Middle Hill Estate, Broadway

Description

Agreement between Anne Daston widow late wife of Anthony Daston, esquire, deceased and before that wife to Francis Savage, esquire likewise deceased, and William Sheldon and John Wasshebourne, esquires that she the said Anne Daston shall and will permit the said William and John before the feast of Pentecost next coming to recover to them and their heirs for ever by writ of 'entre sur disseisin in le post' to be had and prosecuted against the said Anne Daston before the Queen's Justices according to the usual order and form of common recoveries heretofore used, the ferme of the said Anne in Broadway with the appurtenances called or known by the name of the'ferme of Broadway'and all messuages mills orchards gardens lands tenements meadows leasows pastures rents reversions services and hereditaments whatsoever of the said Anne set lying and being in the town parish hamlets and fields of Broadway to said ferme belonging and all other land or tenements in Broadway in which she hath any estate or inheritance or freehold by the name of 2 messuages, 2 mills, 2 dovehouses, 2 gardens, 300 acres of land, 500 acres of meadow, 2000 acres of pasture, 60 acres of wood and 100 acres of furze and heath. In which recovery the said Anne Daston shall vouch unto Anthony Savage, gentleman, her son to warrant the one moiety of the said farm and other the premises which Anthony shall vouch over the common vouchee And in which recovery the said Anne shall vouch unto Walter Savage, gentleman, one other of her sons which Walter shall vouch unto the common vouchee according to the usual order, which recovery so or in any other manner and form to be had of the premises and the estate of the said William Sheldon and John Wasshebourne of in and to the farm and other premises shall be to the use and behalf of the said Anne Daston her heirs and assigns for ever.
