Description

Conveyance of properties named in Lease for a year by Sarah Savage the elder of Gloucester, widow and relict of Walter Savage the elder heretofore of the City of Worcester but late of Broadway, esquire deceased., Anne Savage and Sarah Savage both of Gloucester, spinsters, daughters of the said Walter and Sarah Savage, and sisters, co-heirs and devisees of Walter Savage the younger late of Broadway, esquire deceased, who was the only son and heir of Walter Savage the elder, and John Cocks of Gloucester, esquire to William Taylor in consideration of the sum of £4200, to enjoy for ever free from any interruption by the said Sarah Savage the elder, Anne Savage, Sarah Savage the younger and John Cocks or any other person claiming in trust for the said Walter Savage the grandfather, Walter Savage the son and Walter Savage the grandson deceased or any of their ancestors or from Cecilia late widow and relict of the said Walter Savage the grandson, now Cecilia Newport (except as hereinafter excepted) viz. a term of 500 years of the released premises which by Indenture dated 7th January 1688 was limited to Richard Skipps and Richard Freeman to commence at the death of the survivors of the said Walter Savage the elder and Sarah Savage his wife and also another term of 500 years which by Indenture tripartite dated 3rd October 1707 was vested in Francis Haines and William Hayles - and also another term of 1000 years by Indenture dated 2nd November 1721 limited to Edward Cook, esquire, all which terms of 500, 5000 and 1000 years have already been assigned by a Trustee for the said William Taylor and his heirs to attend and wait upon the freehold and inheritance of the premises - usual guarantees. Signed with seals heraldic by Sarah Savage, Anne Savage, Sarah Savage Junior and John Cocks. Witnesses: S. Machen, Edward James and John Weston. Receipt for £4200 signed by Sarah Savage, Anne Savage and Sarah Savage Junior. Same witnesses as before. Endorsed by J. O. Halliwell-Phillipps 'Middlehill Estate'.
