Grant of Premises: Ilmington

Description

Indenture dated 1st September 1634 between William Austen of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, yeoman and William Loggin of Swalecliffe, Oxfordshire of the first part, and George Blunt of Wiggington, Oxfordshire of the other part, citing a grant by Thomas Andrewe, late of Longdon and Jane, his wife dated 29th September 1599, of a meadow called Two Close in Ilmington to William Austen of Ilmington yeoman since deceased, and of closes called Towers and Sheppys. Which William in September 1621 made his Will leaving Dorothy, his daughter sole Executrix who later married Richard Payne who [in 1631] granted the same to William Loggin and George Blunt. Now William Austen conveys the same to George Blunt. Signed and sealed. Seal 1) a rose, 2) defaced. Witnesses: William Mynne and Ambrose Holbecke.
