Copy Counterpart Indenture between Stephen Hales of Snitterfield, esquire, John Hales of Coventry, esquire and Thomas Hales, son of the said John Hales of the same place, and Dame Katherine Verney, widow, late wife of Sir Greville Verney, knight deceased, of the other part whereby the persons of the first part in consideration of 5/- to them paid by Dame Katherine conveyed to her 21 acres of enclosed ground in the occupation of William Horne, also other enclosed ground containing 21 acres, 1 rood and 10 poles and other enclosed lands, pasture etc. containing 30a-2r-0p and other closes containing 34a-13-20p, all of which last mentioned premises were in occupation of Simon Cale, also other close, pasture etc. containing 103a-1r-30p, also land called the West Long Meadow (6a-1r-30p), also land called East Long Meadow (7a-1r-0p), also land called Meadow Leaze lying at the East end of East Long Meadow containing 3a-1r-20p, also land called the Meadow adjoining Goodridge Home Close containing 6a-2r-0p, all of which last mentioned premises were then in the occupation of Thomas Greene, also land called Comins in the occupation of William Ball. Witnessed by Edward. Pento, Wilton Bradshaw, James Prescott and G. Kittemaster. Attested 18th December 1668 by George Nayle and Edward Berry.
