Snitterfield deeds: Phillips of Welcombe

Description

Indenture dated 15th May 1848 between William Duffin of Snitterfield, labourer of the 1st part, Henry Smith of the same place, esquire of the 2nd part and Henry Best Sowdon of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman of the 3rd part whereby a cottage and garden belonging and formerly in the occupation of John Duffin but then in the occupation of William Such, and adjoining to a cottage formerly belonging to and in the occupation of John Duffin but then of Richard Davies, also a small piece of land situate near the said cottage whereon the said William Duffin had erected a stable and hovel were conveyed by William Duffin to Henry Smith in consideration of £90 (Henry Best Sowdon being a feofee to uses).
