Description

Lease for 10 years from Henry de Sidenhale of Toneworth' to Richard Couherne of the same of all lands and tenements, meadows, feedings and pits in Toneworth' which belonged to Thomas Ede over and against that of John de Follewode, excepting those lands, tenements and meadows with the reliefs pertaining to them which lie within the close of Yeuelshawe remaining in the hands of the said Henry, which land the said Henry held by gift and grant of the said Thomas; the said Richard to hold the same for the term of 10 years rendering annually 33 shillings and 4 pence rent [ 2 terms] and also the suit at court of Toneworth' pertaining to the said lands in lieu of all services and demands; the said Richard to maintain all of the houses standing on the said tenements in as good or better repair than he received them without any waste or destruction; the said Henry to provide the tenant while in possession with a reasonable quantity of fuel growing on the said tenements according to the judgement of the said Henry or his assigns. Dated at Toneworth', Sunday after the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Mary, 41 Edward III.
