Description

Defeasance between William de Folewode son of Richard de Folewode of Toneworth' and Richard Keet of Bydeforde, parson of the church of Prestone, co. Rutland, on a bond of £40 acknowledged between them, that the same shall be void if the said William enfoeffs Geoffrey le Moul of Toneworth' in all the lands and tenements which John le Moul, father of the said Geoffrey, once held in villeinage of Richard de Folewode in Toneworth' before the feast of St Peter as Vincula [1 August] next. Witnesses: John de Bartone, John le Archer of Toneworth', Robert de Crowenhale the younger, William le Hunt of Henleye, Edmund de Hereforde and others. Dated at Henleye, Wednesday in the feast of St Margaret, 8 Edward III. Tag, seal lost. Latin, parchment, 11.75 x 2.5 ins., indented.
