Description

Agreement between William de Folewode and Joan his wife, and Richard Oede and Isabella his wife, the said Joan and Isabella being the daughters and co-heiresses of Robert de Sydenhale (deceased) concerning the partition of lands and tenements in Norton' Kynges and Toneworth' lately belonging to the said Robert: the said William and Joan to have a hall with rooms, a kitchen and cattleshed, together with a certain portion of the court house ( curia), as it is in the future to be divided, with the hedges and water standing in the same; the said Richard and Isabella to hold the great grange with a certain portion of the courthouse ( curia) and the curtilage adjacent to the same, and a certain piece of land in a field lying on the north side of the said grange together with the houses built upon it, and half of a field lying next to the said piece, and a marl pit in a field called le Bernfeld in allowance for the ditches and waters aforesaid, together with a certain corner of land in the field of the said William at the head of the said ditches and one piece of meadow land at Yevelschawe, the said Richard and Isabella were also to hold one half of the field called Bernefeld extending as far as the marlpit in the same field, the other half to belong to the said William and Joan according to the boundaries made there. Other lands, tenements, meadows, woods, fisheries, pits and ponds which belonged to the said Robert were to be divided between the said parties according to their boundaries. The said William and Joan were to receive one half of the rents and services due to the said Robert as follows; from Robert de Portegrene 3s 7d rent with appuertenance and half a heriot and other services when they were due; from Walter atte Halle 22 1/2 d rent with appurtenances and half a heriot and other services when they were due; from John Gybbeson 18d rent with appurtenances; from Edith le Stylle 12 d rent with appurtenances and heriot and other services from the said John and Edith when they were due; from Richard Aleyn 2 1/2 d rent and half of the other services when they were due; from Margery de Yevelschawe 12 d rent with appurtenances; from Richard de Bertlisworth 22d Rent ; from Peter Trages 2 d rent with appurtenances and other services of the said Margery Richard and Peter when they were due; from William Reed 2d rent with appurtenances and half of the other services when they were due. The said Richard and Isabella were to receive the other half of the rents and services due to the said Robert as follows; from Robert de Portegrene 3s 7d with appurtenances; from Walter atte Halle 22 1/2 d rent and half a heriot and other services when they were due; from John ?Dustulf 18d rent with appurtenances; from John de Oldenhale 8d rent with appurtenances and heriot and other services when they were due; from Richard Aleyn 6 1/2 d rent with appurtenances and half of other services when they were due; from Juliana de Yevelschawe 12 d with appurtenances; from Richard Topyn 12d rent with appurtenances; from Ralph de Beoleye 4d with appurtenances; from Simon Larch' 2 d rent with appurtenances, with heriot and other services of the said Juliana, Richard, Ralph, Richard and Simon when they were due; from William Reed 2 d rent with appurtenances and half of other services when they were due.
