Description

Lease for the life of the lessee with warranty from Thomas Archere of Thoneworthe to Simon Berkuswell' the elder of the same of one field called Boddelond', lying in length from the common field called Shyrewolt' and the highway leading from Brounusgrene as far as Richard Dolfyn Smyht and in breadth between one field called Apultone and the lane leading from Hokkelowe as far as the church of Thoneworth'; to hold for the life of the said Simon, rendering annually to the said Thomas for the next three years one red rose on the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist, and after this term if the said Simon held the field called Boddelond' he was to pay annually to the said Thomas 20 shillings.
