Description

Demise with warranty from Richard son of John atte Berne of Toneworth' to Dom John atte Berne, chaplain, his brother, of 16 selions of land with an adjacent meadow and a certain headland with a road leading from the highway leading from the court of John le Archer as far as the said 16 selions of land, which lie in Walterescroft in Toneworth' extending in length between the land of Rose atte Berne the grantor's mother on each side, and in width between the land of the said Rose and the land of John de Stapelton'; to hold the same to the said John for life rendering due and customary service to the chief lord. Witnesses: Henry de Sydenhale, William de Folewode, Simon le Archer, Richard Wystan, Richard Aleyn and others. Dated at Toneworth', Sunday next after the feast of St Peter in Cathedra, 5 Edward III.
