Description

Demise from William le Archer to William his nephew for life of the land which belonged to Thomas Russel and Thomas Walrand and the meadow of Cherlekote, with all the grass, woods, hedges and ditches; to hold the same rendering annually 12 pence and a cartload of hay, or two shillings to chose his (the grantor's) own; and should the grantee die during the lifetime of the grantor the said premises shall revert to the grantor; and should the grantee outlive the grantor, then the said property to remain to him and his heirs according to the original charter of feoffment. Dated at Thoneworth', Sunday next after the feast of St Chad, 5 Edward II. Seal on tag, circular in natural wax. A rabbit.
