Description

Lease with warranty from John Larcher of Toneworth' to Master William Larcher his uncle of a messuage, with gardens and a piece of a croft which Henry Dibun once held in Toneworth'; to hold the same, with a curtilage and marlpit, for life rendering annually 2 shillings (2 terms); and for this the said William grants to the said John a grove which belonged to John Gilbert in Toneworth' with the pool of Cherlecote, both of which he held for life by the demise of the said John and Margery his mother, excepting the hedges, meadows, arable lands and wood growing in the said meadows next the grove. Witnesses: Simon Larcher, Richard Wystan, William Wodard, William Larcher, Richard Aleyn and others. Dated at Toneworth, Tuesday after the feast of St John before the Latin Gate, 2 Edward III. Seal on tag, oval, black, incomplete. A barbed arrow pointing downwards between a mullet and a crescent.
