Snitterfield

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 6th November 1840 between Richard Ivens of Snitterfield butcher of one part and the said Richard Ivens, Edward Pinder of Leamington, Joseph Randall of Stratford-upon-Avon, Daniel Mowe of Leamington, Richard Wyatt of Leamington, William Milliner of Leamington, William Duffin of Snitterfield, John Green of Snitterfield and Edmund Ivens of Leamington of the other part whereby a piece of land situate at Snitterfield being on the South side of the road leading from Snitterfield to Bearley containing on the North and East end 11 yards, towards the South and West 10 yards and towards the South and East 10 yards then late in the occupation of John King was conveyed by Richard Ivens to the persons of the other part for £2 upon trust for the erection of a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel and certain other trusts. Signed Richard Ivens, Edward Pinder, Joseph Randall, John Green, Edward Ivens, William Duffin, Richard Wyatt, William Milliner and Daniel Mowe. Common wax stamp seal. Witnessed by Thomas Coppin solicitor, Stratford-upon-Avon. Lease dated 5th November 1840 by Richard Ivens to the Trustees of the Methodist Society (the persons of the other part as above) of the same property for one year. Signed Richard Ivens.
