Abstract of Mr. Thomas Chattock's Marriage Settlement being Indentures of Lease and Release dated 1st 2nd June 1815 between Thomas Chattock of Solihull, gentleman of the 1st part, Richard Chattock (father of Thomas Chattock) of the 2nd part, Ann Maude Prince of Canterbury, widow and John Harvey, then late of the Middle Temple barrister, but then of Guildford Street in the Parish of St. Pancras, Middlesex Master in Ordinary in the Court of Chancery (the Executrix Executor of Samuel Prince esquire deceased late husband of Ann Maude Prince) of the 3rd part, Jane Prince of Canterbury, spinster (eldest daughter of the said Samuel Prince and Ann Maude Prince) of the 4th part and William Fuller Booteler of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, barrister and Thomas Jesson of Charlemont in the Parish of West Bromwich, Staffordshire, esquire of the 5th part whereby certain property in Solihull producing £391-10-0 per annum was conveyed to the persons of the 5th part (as Trustees of the Marriage Settlement) by Thomas Chattock in consideration of the intended marriage and of the fortune that would come to him from Jane Prince, his intended wife to the use of himself for life. Remainder to Trustees for life in trust to support contingent remainders. Remainder to the use of Jane Prince for life for her jointure and in lieu bar and satisfaction of her dower and thirds at Common Law which she could claim out of all and any of the lands etc. whether freehold or copyhold whereof the said Thomas Chattock was during coverture seised. Executed by Thomas Chattock, Richard Chattock, Ann Maude Prince, John Springett Harvey and Jane Prince. N. B. This shows that land at Snitterfield was barred from claims for dower by Thomas Chattock's wife.
