Description

Copy Probate of the Will of Benjamin Smart of Warwick gentleman whereby after payment all debts etc. he bequeathed to his housekeeper, Susannah Soden £19-19-0 and to his servant, Mary Beck £5. Reciting that he had theretofore made provision for his grandson, William Smart (son of his late son, William Smart) and for his daughter, Susannah Reece and also in part, John's other children, he gave and bequeathed all the residue of his personal estate to his four children in equal shares namely :- Thomas Clark Smart, Benjamin Smart, Mary Trusted and Sarah Fowler and he appointed his sons, Thomas Clark Smart and Benjamin Smart his Executors. Witnesses: Thomas Tidmas and Joseph Page. Proved 14th May 1817 at London before the Right Honourable Sir John Nicoll, knight LL. D. Master in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. George Gostling, Nathaniel Gostling and R. C. Cresswell, Deputy Registrars.
