Description

Gift from Thomas Parker, Richard Boteler, Henry Skynner' and John Grove to Agnes, lately wife of Thomas Colyns, of all lands, tenements, meadows, feedings, pastures, rents, reversions and services in the parish of Toneworth' which the grantors lately held by the gift and confirmation of the said Agnes and which lately belonged to the said Thomas Colyns; to hold for the term of her life from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, and after the death of the said Agnes to pass to Emma, wife of Henry Broun', daughter of the said Thomas Colyns, and her rightful issue or in default of such issue to revert to the right heirs of the said Thomas Colyns. Dated on the feast of St Lawrence, 11 Edward IV. Witnesses: Richard Fullewode, John Bentford', John Dolphyn', Thomas Asshell', John Smyth' and others. 3 circular seals of red wax on 2 tags with plaits of rushes inserted in the wax, 3/4 in. Latin, parchment, 10.25 x 4.25 ins. Indented. Attached to no. 890.
