Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 25th May 1839 between Charles Thornett of Snitterfield yeoman of the 1st part, Henry Smith of the same place gentleman of the 2nd part and Job Hobbins of Stratford-upon-Avon law stationer of the 3rd part whereby a cottage, garden etc. situate in The Green, Snitterfield (adjoining premises belonging to and occupied by William Roberts, see DR 38/718) and then occupied by Charles Thornett were conveyed by Charles Thornett to Henry Smith for £42. Signed Henry Smith and by the mark of Charles Thornett. Common wax stamp seal. Witnessed by Thomas Umbers. Lease dated 24th May 1839 by Charles Thornett to Henry Smith of the same property for one year. Signed by the mark of Charles Thornett. Sealed and witnessed as before.
