Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 1st August 1835 between Samuel Roberts of Snitterfield labourer of the 1st part, Thomas Roberts of Snitterfield labourer of the 2nd part and John Lane of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 3rd part whereby a cottage etc. in Snitterfield in the occupation of Thomas Roberts described in a plan thereon drawn theretofore occupied by Samuel Roberts with all appurtenances except a right of way of breadth 3 feet from the common street by the side of the garden of Mr. William Hitchcox and the use of a privy and right of way thereto belonging to the cottage of Mr. Hitchcox was conveyed by Samuel Roberts to Thomas Roberts for £19-10-0. Signed Thomas Roberts and by the mark of Samuel Roberts. Red wax seal , capital letter H. Witnessed by Thomas Weston and Joseph Abey. Endorsed with Memoranda that by Indentures of 26th 27th October 1835 (see DR 38/614) a piece of garden ground containing 10 yards by 7 yards, part of the above premises was conveyed by Thomas Roberts to Henry Smith of Snitterfield esquire, also that by an Indenture of 20th May 1848 the cottage, garden etc. containing 82 square yards, 6 square feet and 6 square inches other part of the above described premises were conveyed by Thomas Roberts to James Hitchcox of Barford miller. Witnessed by Robert H. Hobbes and William Allen respectively. Lease dated 31st July 1835 by Samuel Roberts to Thomas Roberts of the same property for one year. Signed by the mark of Samuel Roberts. Sealed and delivered as before.
