Description

Indenture of Feoffment (with Livery of Seisin endorsed and witnessed thereon) dated 9th June 1832 between John Walton of Wootton Wawen labourer and Ann his wife of the 1st part, William Smith of Snitterfield labourer of the 2nd part and Henry Smith of Snitterfield gentleman of the 3rd part whereby a cottage, garden and appurtenances in Snitterfield which had for the space of 30 years previous to the dated thereof been occupied by Richard Smith the late father of the said Ann Walton, which premises was heretofore the property of Timothy Sumner who sold it to the said Richard Smith was conveyed by Ann Walton (and her husband, John Walton) as only child and heiress at law of Richard Smith to William Smith for £27-10-0. Signed Ann Walton and by the mark of John Walton. Red wax seal, letter H. Witnessed by John Lane and John Lane junior. Bill of Costs for £4-8-0 by William Smith to John Lane in respect of the above conveyance, with receipt.
