Description

Indenture of Further Mortgage between Richard Canning of Norton Lindsey yeoman and Susanna his wife (sister and heir of William Blick late of Norton Lindsey yeoman deceased) of one part and John Yeate of Stratford-upon-Avon innholder of the other part. Reciting DR 38/795 and reciting that the principal sum of £130 was not paid and that a sum of £143-6-8 was then owing upon the Mortgage and that Richard Canning had occasion to borrow the further sum of £56-13-4 from John Yeate, it was thereby witnessed that in consideration of £56-13-4 then advanced by John Yeate (making a total mortgage sum of £200) to Richard Canning, he the said Richard Canning covenanted with John Yeate to levy a Fine upon the property described in DR 38/788 before the end of the Hilary Term then next and that such Fine should enure to the use of John Yeate until repayment of the £200 and interest and thereafter to the use of Richard Canning for life, remainder to the use of Susanna his wife for life, remainder to use of such person or persons as the said Richard Susanna should be dead or Will appoint.
