The Award of Elias Webb of Sherborne gentleman, Robert Welch of Grove Park, Budbrooke gentlemen, Joseph Blick of Longbridge in the Parish of St. Mary, Warwick gentleman and George Perks of Haselor yeoman, arbitrators appointed by mutual consent of the parties - namely John Blick of Norton Lindsey yeoman of one part and George Farriner alias Walker of Wilnecote yeoman of the other part - in a dispute between them concerning the estate of Matthew Blick late of Norton Lindsey yeoman deceased. Reciting George Farriner had inter-married with Susanna widow and Administratrix of Matthew Blick deceased and that the dispute had arisen as to the distribution of the personal estate of Matthew Blick and as to what real estate George Farriner was entitled to in right of his wife Susanna for her dower, and that the parties had agreed to be bound by a bond of £200 each to observe the award, they the said first three arbitrators named awarded as follows. First that George Farriner should within 10 days then next assign to John Blick by Bill of Sale, the household goods, implements of husbandry, cattle, corn and other like things of Matthew Blick deceased (not down in the monetary sale made by Susanna Farriner as Administratrix, also £24 for the rents and profits of the real estate of the said Matthew Blick deceased which he George Farriner had received over and above that to which he was entitled as for dower in right of his wife Susanna. Also one Mortgage dated 4th February 1722 between Robert Fullwood of Alcester gentleman of one part and the said Susanna (by the name of Susanna Blick widow) of the other part for securing £100 and interest and all Deeds for securing the payment thereof, also all interest etc. of the said Susanna and George Farriner in the personal estate of Matthew Blick deceased including several debts, securities and sums of money following :- a Bond dated 18th June 1715 for £10 and interest from William Olney of Leamington Priors yeoman, one other Bond dated 19th February 1719 for £15 and interest from John Walker of Snitterfield yeoman and Richard Meades of the same place husbandman, one promissory note dated 11th November 1720 for £6 and interest from John Edwards and one promissory note dated 9th January 1721 for £5 and interest from Roger Milburn. And secondly that John Blick shall immediately after assignment to him of the above personal estate shall pay to the said George Farriner £46-5-41/2 for the share of Susanna Farriner (formerly Susanna Blick widow) and also that John Blick should give a discharge to George Susanna Farriner from all claims etc. in respect of the personal estate of Matthew Blick deceased, and also that John Blick should convey a freehold estate of inheritance of the clear yearly value of £10 to John Walker of Snitterfield yeoman and his heirs in trust as well as to indemnify the said George Susanna Farriner from all claims which William Susanna Blick (two of the younger children of Matthew Blick deceased) might have against them in respect of the personal estate of Matthew Blick deceased as also to pay to the said William Susanna Blick the sum of £61-10-91/4 each, being their portions of the personal estate of the said Matthew Blick deceased and also that John Blick should pay yearly to George Farriner during the Coverture of him George Farriner and Susanna his wife in lieu of dower to which Susanna Blick was entitled from the real estate of Matthew Blick deceased the sum of £6 to be issuing out of all the real estate whereof Matthew Blick was seised at his death subject to the payment of taxes and thirdly if any of the debts of the said Matthew Blick deceased should prove to be bad debts, the said George Farriner should repay a proportionable part of the loss to John Blick.
