Description

Indenture between John Wilkes of Wolverton clockmaker and Elizabeth his wife of one part and Thomas Walford of Wolverton gentleman of the other part reciting DR 38/930 whereby a Fine was levied by John Wilkes and Elizabeth his wife to Thomas Walford upon all that half yard land of arable meadow and pasture lying in the Common Fields of Wolverton and upon a meadow belonging containing 14 poles, and all those leys or lotts of ground with appurtenances lying in the Common Fields of Blackdon (Blatmon) parcel of the Common Fields of Wolverton which premises were theretofore in the occupations of John Bradshaw and Jane West afterwards of John Lea and then of Thomas Walford, it was thereby witnessed that in consideration of £180 paid to John Wilkes by Thomas Walford, it was thereby agreed and declared that the said hereditaments should enure to the use of Thomas Walford and his heirs for ever.
