Description

Indenture between Thomas Barrett of Norton Lindsey labourer and James Pacey of the same place shoemaker of one part and Robert Needham Philips of Welcombe esquire M. P. of the other port reciting the Will of Thomas Pacey (see DR 38/900) and that the said Thomas Pacey died on 27th February 1852 and that Thomas Barrett and James Pacey were devisees of a cottage (one having been sold to Robert Needham Philips on 4th May 1878, see DR 38/919), it was witnessed that they the said Thomas Barrett and James Pacey in consideration of £155 to the said Thomas Barrett and James Pacey paid by the said Robert Needham Philips conveyed the other of the 2 cottages devised to them by Thomas Pacey, to Robert Needham Philips. Signed by the mark of Thomas Barrett, by James Pacey and Robert Needham Philips. Red wax seal with letter H thereon. Witnessed by H. W. Blenkinsop, solicitor, Warwick.
