Description

Gift with warranty from William de Bello Campo earl of Warwick to Nicholas de Listerley of Tonwrth', for homage and service, of four acres from the waste of Tonewrth' in Fenssawe, extending in length from the highway, leading from Burmingham towards Henley, as far as the land of William de Sydenhale, and in width lying between the road leading towards the grantor's close, and the grantor's land; to hold the same to the said Nicholas, his heirs and assigns, except a religious house, rendering annually 16 pence (2 terms) for all services save suit of court at Tonworth at Christmas and Whitsun and the payment of scutage at the rate of 1 penny per acre when it falls due.
