Description

Lease from Thomas Browne of Tanworth weaver to Sir Simon Archer of Tanworth knight for £50 of a messuage with orchards and garden belonging to the same in Tanworth in the tenure of the said Thomas, with 2 closes adjoining the said messuage, all this property lying together between the land of the said Sir Simon Archer, the land now or late of Richard Hunt, the King's highway leading from Umberslade Hall towards Earleswood and a lane leading from Tanworth Church towards Hockley Heath on all sides; also 2 cottages with gardens and orchards belonging to the same in Tanworth, now or late in the several tenures of William Weste and Elizabeth Coleman widow and also a close in Tanworth called Hodgecroft, now or late in the tenure of the said Thomas Browne, lying in Tanworth between the land of the said Richard Hunt and the highway leading from Umberslade Hall to Earleswood on all sides; to hold for 60 years from 25 March next at a peppercorn rent.
