Description

Defeasance between Richard Archer of Tanneworth' county Warwic' esquire and James Spencer knight, citizen and alderman of London: whereas the said Richard by a bond of the same date taken before Ralph Wareyn knight, Mayor of the staple of Westminster, and Roger Cholmley knight, Recorder of the city of London, was bound to the said James Spencer in the penal sum of 100 marks, the said James now agreed that if the said Richard paid to him £50, £25 at Michaelmas next and £25 at the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary next, the said bond should be void.
