Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 14th March 1752 between Thomas Farr, late of Berkswell but then of Snitterfield baker of one part and Thomas Skidmore of Snitterfield yeoman of the other part whereby Thomas Farr in consideration of £39-10-0 paid to Robert Perkins (see DR38/481) and £25-10-0 paid to him (making £65 in all) by Thomas Skidmore conveyed the property described in DR38/460 DR38/477 to Thomas Skidmore in fee simple to the use of him Thomas Skidmore as to the undivided moiety purchased from Mary Eyres (see DR38/481) and as to the other undivided moiety which he the said Thomas Farr held in right of his wife Sarah (sister of Mary Eyres and co-heiress of William Rouse) then deceased to the use of him Thomas Farr for a term of 60 years if he the said Thomas Farr should so long live.. Signed Thomas Farr and by the mark of Thomas Skidmore. Seal man's head crowned with a garland. Witnessed by Richard Wright, Joshua Harborne and Benjamin Ward. Lease 13th March 1752 by Thomas Farr to Thomas Skidmore of one undivided moiety in the same property for one year. Signed Thomas Farr. Sealed and witnessed as before.
