Snitterfield

Description

Indenture dated 30th July 1853 between Henry Smith of Snitterfield esquire of the 1st part, Richard Smith of Snitterfield esquire of the 2nd part, John Reid of Newland, Gloucestershire of the 3rd part, Robert Needham Philips of the Park, Prestwich, Lancashire esquire of the 4th part, Richard Hawkes late of Wolverton but now of Hunscote in the Parish of Charlecote gentleman and Frederick Pritchard of Stratford-upon-Avon surgeon of the 5th part, Mark Philips of Snitterfield esquire of the 6th part and Samuel Reid of Snitterfield gentleman of the 7th part. Reciting that Richard Hawkes and Frederick Pritchard had been made Trustees of the Will of Richard Smith deceased (father of Henry Smith, see DR 38/501) in place of William Wale Brown and Thomas Brown respectively and the conveyance of 14th September 1843 (see DR 38/503) it was thereby witnessed that the Fee Simple in certain property including the White Horse Inn in Snitterfield was conveyed by the said Henry Smith, Richard Smith, his on tenant in Fee Simple in remainder (see DR 38/504) Richard Hawkes and Frederick Pritchard, Trustees of the Will of Richard Smith deceased and Robert Needham Philips as of the Executors of the Will of Robert Philips (who died on 14th March 1844) to Mark Philips (eldest son of Robert Philips) free from incumbrances in consideration of 10/-.
