Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 11th February 1768 between Henry Bagshaw Harrison of Daventry, Northamptonshire gentleman of the 1st part, Samuel Montgomery of the same place gentleman of the 2nd part and William Bradford of Bishop's Hampton gentleman John Payton of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 3rd part whereby Henry Bagshaw Harrison and Samuel Montgomery in consideration of £2400 and 5/- to each of them respectively paid by William Bradford conveyed to William Bradford and John Payton a capital messuage with appurtenances at Welcombe theretofore in the occupation of Manley Ashwin, together with closes occupied therewith called Coney Gree and Walnut Tree Closes also a close called Ashen Close also a close in Welcombe and Hampton Lucy called Barn Closes containing 22 acres also three arable closes in Ingon called Ingon Grounds or Grove containing 24 acres also three meadows at Ingon called Parrons Closes containing 25 acres all which last mentioned closes were formerly in the occupation of Francis Oldfield afterwards of William Hiccox and since of Sir John Clopton also a close in Old Stratford called Saint hill containing 6 acres sometime in the occupation of Sir Reginald Foster and then of Mark Noble all which messuage and closes were then in the occupation of William Bradford also a cottage with orchard and appurtenances in Welcombe then in the occupation of Henry Bennett to the sole use of William Bradford and his heirs for ever. Lease dated 10th February 1768 for one year of the same property by Henry Bagshaw Harrison and Samuel Montgomery to William Bradford and John Payton. Signed by Henry Bagshaw Harrison and Samuel Montgomery. Sealed and witnessed as before.
