Description

Indenture of Assignment between Anne Charnley of Newbold Pacey widow and Executrix of William Charnley late of Harbury clerk deceased of the 1st part, John Palmer of the Middle Temple, London esquire of the 2nd part and Edward Willes of Serjeant's Inn, Middlesex esquire of the 3rd part. Reciting the Mortgage described in DR38/1057 and that there was then due £500, it was witnessed that Anne Charnley in consideration of £500 to her paid by Thomas Ward of Warwick by the direction of John Palmer and of 5/- to her paid by Edward Willes, assigned the said Mortgage term of 500 years to Edward Willes, to the use of Thomas Ward to attend the inheritance. Signed Anne Charnley (red wax seal, crest and arms, not intelligible and John Palmer (seal with crest, a boar and shield with chevron thereon). Witnessed by Thomas Walford, Cole Goodwin and W. Wilson.
