Lease from Samuel Marrowe of Barkeswell, esquire, and Thomas Marrowe, gentleman, his brother, to Sir Richard Greves of Moseley, Worcs., knight, for £280 of the manor of Sollihull alias Sullihull with messuages, lands and rights and advowsons of the church, chapels and chantries of the same; to hold for 99 years at a peppercorn rent, excepting the following leases: 1. 1 August 1628 To George Botte, yeoman, of 22 selions of land in Olton End and a close called Broad close in Dymples and also a croft called the Brounys croft, lying in Olton End, also a little croft called Gorstye croft in Olton End and all other closes called the great Gorstye in Olton End and land in Smithes fields; to hold for 99 years, rendering annually 8d. 2. 1 September 1628 To the same of the same; to hold for 1,000 years after the expiration of the term of 99 years described above, rendering annually 8d. 3. No. DR37/1/2606 4. 1 August 1628 To Thomas Doley, yeoman, of the property described in DR37/1/2606; to hold for 1,000 years after the expiration of the term of 99 years described in DR37/1/2606, rendering annually 4d. 5. 12 August 1628 To Lawrence Harp, yeoman, of a close called Paynes land alias Rowe wood in Sollihull; to hold for 99 years, rendering annually 12d. 6. 12 August 1628 To George Slowe, yeoman, of the property described in DR37/1/2608; to hold for 99 years, rendering annually 2s. 7. No. DR37/1/2608, rendering annually 3s. 8. 12 August 1628 To Benedict Slowe, yeoman, of the property described in DR37/1/2608, rendering annually 4s. 9. 2 May 1629 To John Bate of a cottage with two closes adjoining the same in Sullyhull; to hold from 25 March next for 99 years, rendering annually 2s.
