Lease from Andrew Archer of Umberslade Hall in Tanworth, esquire, to Richard White of Ullenhall, husbandman, of three closes of land called Cookes Land with commons and profits belonging to the same in Ullenhall containing 12 acres, now in the tenure of the said Richard White, reserving always to the said Andrew Archer all timber rights and all mines and quarries of stone or coal and also reserved to the said Andrew the liberty to come into the said closes to hunt, hawk, fish and fowl and to view and survey the state and condition of the said premises; to hold from 25 March last for 99 years if the said Richard White and John his son live so long, rendering annually to the said Andrew £5 [2 terms]; the said Andrew to have the right of re-entry if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears 40 days beyond any of the said terms or if the said Richard or John White sublet the said property without the consent of the said Andrew; the said Richard and John to pay all parochial charges and county rate upon the said premises except the Parliamentary taxes declared by law to be payable by the said Andrew and his heirs; the said Richard to repair and keep mounds, fences, hedges, ditches, gates, posts and rails.
