Bargain and sale from Edward Charde of Crapston' alias Cropson, county Leicestr', gentleman, to Thomas Fissher of Warwycke esquire for £120 of land and a messuage called Stone Howse in Northegatestrete in the borough of Warwicke with gardens, orchards, houses, buildings, easements and backsides belonging to the same, now in the tenure of Roger Edgeworth', gentleman, and also four tenements situated together with gardens, orchards, backsides, buildings and easements belonging to the same in the borough of Warwicke in the same Northegatestrete, now in the several tenures of Thomas Crosse, Thomas Ridge, Richard Pratt and William Richardson, also one tenement with buildings, orchards, backsides and easements belonging to the same in Saltisforde in the borough of Warwicke now in the tenure of John Storye and lately in the holding of John Bate tilemaker, deceased, also three messuages with buildings, orchards, backsides, gardens and easements belonging to the same together in the Walledyche of Brightti Bower in the borough of Warwick, in the several tenures of Robert Penye, John Orton' and Roger Richardson', also a garden or orchard in Hoggeforde in the borough of Warwicke, in the tenure of Richard Baylie shoemaker, the said messuage called the Stone Howse and the four said messuages in Northegatestrete lying between the said Northegatestrete on the one hand and the lane called the upper end of Salesforde towards Seynt Marye Butte on the other hand in breadth and extending in length from the houses and grounds of the heirs of Sir Richard Catesby knight, deceased, and Smarte londe in the same Northegatestrete on the south to a parcel of ground usually called the Northe gate of the same street on all sides, and the said three messuages in the Walldyche lying between the said street called the Walldyche on the north and the Queen's land, part of the Earldom of Warwicke, on the south in breadth and extending in length from the tenement and garden of the Queen on the east to the tenement and garden of the heirs of William Sutton', deceased, on all sides, the said messuage in Saltsiforde extending between the said street called Saltisforde and the parcel of ground called Pigwell' in breadth and in length between a tenement of Thomas Oken' on the south and a cottage of Seynt Mychaell londe on all sides and the said garden in Hoggeforde extending between the Waldyche and a lane called Lyther hyll', lane in breadth and in length from the land of George Medley esquire on the south and a garden being part of the land of the late College of Warwicke on all sides with a covenant that the said Edward Charde and Margaret Charde widow, mother of the said Edward, shall before the feast of All Saints next further assure the said property to the said Thomas Fissher [see DR37/1/2759]; to hold for ever.
