Description

Lease with warranty from Monsieur William de Ferrers, lord of Groby, to Peter West of Flekeno of his manor of Flekeno with view of frankpledge and with fees, advowsons and all rights belonging to the same; to hold for the life of the said Peter, rendering annually £12 at Lady Day and the feast of St. Peter ad Vincula [1 August]; the said Peter to render all services and annual charges to the King; the said William to provide wood for the windmill on the said property and the said Peter to provide transport for the same; the said William to have right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears 40 days beyond any of the said terms. Dated at Neubotele Wednesday after the feast of the Purification of Our Lady 42 Edward III. Witnesses: Thomas de Sutton', knight, John de Verdun knight, John Grene of Greneburgh' and others.
