From Emily Hodgson, Montpellier, Brisbane, to Frank Hodgson Her Father is away, occupied with the election. The show of hands was in his favour but his opponent demanded an election. They will probably return to Europe if he loses asit will be a waste of time to remain. The beds are now set up and her room is looking nice. She went to a Ball which she though 'stupid' as there were very few young men and ladies. They have heard from Annie and James. James hopes to have settled about the house when he next writes. They have not been on the Downs yet as Percy has come up for his holidays. The Isaacs heard that their Grandmother has died but they are not going to put off the wedding. Everyone is anxious about Mr Isaacs. They visited old Fanny whose husband thought that Mamma was one of Papa's daughters. Lily Mont and Edith Mitchell, two of Aunt Kate's daughters are staying for a week. They are glad to hear that Uncle Cecil is better. They have had a letter from Edward. The letter is incomplete.
