Description

Lease with warranty from John de Conyngesby of Mortone to Godfrey Budel of Graftone, Alice his wife and Isabella daughter of the said Alice of half-virgate of land and 11/2 acres of meadow lying in the fields of Churchegraftone which the grantor held by the gift and feoffment of William Turkel of Warrewyk' the younger; to hold for the lives of the said Geoffrey, Alice and Isabella, rendering annually 13s. 4d. [2 terms]; the said John having the right of re-entry for non-payment or arrears of the said rent and heriot to be paid on the death of the said Geoffrey and of the said Alice of the best beast or value of the same and also heriot to be paid on the death of the said Isabella of the next best beast or the value of the same; the said Geoffrey and Alice binding their heirs and executors to perform the same and the said Isabella binding herself to the said John in the penal sum of 40d. to be paid to the said John within 3 days of the deaths of the said Geoffrey and Alice if she outlived them.
