Hodgson of Clopton House: Correspondence and diary notes

Description

From Arthur Hodgson, Montpellier, Brisbane, to Frank Hodgson. Mama is preventing him from writing by pulling his hair and treating him like a pick: pocket. When he looks at Frank's two photographs it puts him in a good humour. He will be anxious to hear how Frank spent the long vacation. They still intend to make for Europe in October. He does not know if he will be offered the appointment of Agent General for New Colony and whether he will accept it if he is. Lilly is not going back to school. Emily is riding a great deal, Percy is enjoying his pony and Charlotte is nearly as tall as Lilly. He has never worked as hard as the last six months as Colonial Secretary.
