From Eliza Hodgson (Lilly), Carthona to Frank Hodgson. Although dated July, this letter was probably written in June whilst she was still at school. She thanks Frank for his letter and the photograph. She has had a letter from Edward who does not know when the Topaz will return to England. This is her last day at school. She has been taking part in charades and a play. Mrs Knox, Mrs Rollerton and the Morts were there. She will be sorry to leave. She thanks Frank for the crests that he sent her. Mama returned to Brisbane a fortnight ago. She is 48 and does not look it.
