Grant of Land: Ilmington

Description

Indenture of 22nd December 1635 between William Austen of Chipping Norton, yeoman of the one part and Richard Woodward of Little Dassett, gentleman, Thomas Gardner of High Holborne, County of Middlesex, gentleman and Ambrose Holbech of Mollington, gentleman of the other part, citing Indentures of 29th September 1599 and an exchange made between William Nicholas Austell of the 29th September in the same year, and further enfeoffing Thomas Andrewe and Jane, his wife, in a field called 'Hewfries' which William now grants to the feoffeees named above. Signed and sealed by William Austen. Seal, a peacock? Witnesses: William Hearle, William Stokes and Gamaliel Clerson (his mark)
