From Cecil Hodgson to Arthur Hodgson This letter was probaby written in the early 1870s as he tells Emily not to throw herself away on any old Fagg. He is the only representative of his nation and language. He describes fierce old baroness and a 'sweet young thing with rather pretty shoulders'. Also an old lady from Alsace who is in exile waiting for better days.
