Quitclaim from Roger Childe of Henley in Ardern' to John Persons son of William Persons of Toneworth' and Alice his wife of a messuage with adjacent garden and one grove, lying in Lappeworth' called le Gorstyfeldes, lying between the highway leading towards Bermyngeham on the one hand and the land of John Aylesbury called le Longefeld' on the other, and extending as far as the field called le Skuttefeld', and the said grove extending as far as le Jovoteslond' together with 10 feet leading from the said grove upon the said land called le Jovoteslond' as far as the lane leading from the land of the said William towards Henley, which messuage, garden and grove the grantor and Robert Everdon', now deceased, lately held by the gift and feoffment of the said William Persons [DR37/1/2250]; to hold for ever. Dated at Lappeworth', on the feast of St. Gregory the Pope, 35 Henry VI. Witnesses: Lawrence Blythe of Lappeworth', John Persons, Richard Pratte, Simon Skynner, Richard Skynner and others.
