Description

Gift with warranty from Elizabeth, late the wife of Thomas Rodyng' of Kenylleworth', widow, to Dom Thomas Newbold' chaplain, Henry Spenser of Kenylleworth' and Richard Cole of Toneworth of all lands and tenements with messuages, gardens, lands, meadows, woods and rivers belonging to the grantor in the vill and fields of Kenylleworth'; to hold for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Dated at Kenylleworth on the feast of St. Thomas the Archbishop and Martyr, 13 Henry VI. Witnesses: Roger Kendale of Kenylleworth', Henry Walsche of the same, John Lynde of the same, Thomas Lynde of the same, John Smyth of the same and others. Circular seal of red wax on tag, 3/4 in. within a craved Gothic panel the seated figure of the Virgin and Child with the head of another figure in a panel below.
