Description

Marriage settlement between John Bellars, Alcester, tanner Symon Bellars his son, Margaret Ballard, daughter of William Ballard of Norton juxta Lenchwick, Worcs., yeoman and Francis Madley, Alcester, gentleman, and Philip Harris, Evesham, gentleman, as Trustees. In consideration of an intended marriage between Simon and Margaret and for £300 portion paid by William Ballard, John Bellars settles on trustees a messuage in Nuthurst commonly called Braggs Tenement, sometime in the occupation of Lancelot Spooner, and three closes adjoining viz: The Grove, The Trench and one other which were late in the occupation of Thomas Buller, gentleman, and Dorothy his wife, late wife of John Digby, deceased. To the use of Simon and Margaret and the heirs of their bodies with remainder to the heirs of the body of Simon or his right heirs.
