Abstract of the Title of Mr John Payton to cottages in Henley purchased with other property by Mr John Payton of Thomas Hart and his mortgagee Benjamin Smith in 1771, see TR46/1/21 22, TR46/1/25 26, commencing with a mortgage dated the 31st August 1727 by Shakespeare Hart and others to Samuel Smith of premises in Henley Street and ending with the mortgage and conveyance dated 26th March 1771 whereby the cottages between the Birthplace and the White Lion were conveyed (inter alia) by Thomas Hart and his mortgagee to John Payton
