Description

Lease by Thomas Hart of Stratford-upon-Avon Yeoman (eldest son and heir apparent of George Hart of Stratford-upon-Avon Yeoman devisee of Ann Hart therefore of same place decd. Widow and devisee of Shakespeare Hart therefore of the same place Glazier decd.) and Benjamin Smith of Hampton Lucy Yeoman to William Eaves of Stratford-upon-Avon Sadler of a messuage in Henley Street called the Maidenhead therefore in the occupation of John Yates but then of Joseph Jobson and another messuage adjoining the last mentioned messuage therefore in the occupation of Shakespeare Hart but then of Thomas Hart also four cottages adjoining to the last mentioned messuage therefore in the tenure of John Martin, William Minstrall, Simon Doughty and William Rhodes and then of Edward Lightfoot, Daniel Field, Daniel Hobbis and Thomas Rogers, also the ground whereon a barn formerly stood on the backside of the said tenements in the Guild Pitts and adjoining to the back gates therefore belonging to the Swan Inn then lately purchased by John Payton and joined to the White Lyon and then in the occupation of the said John Payton and all other appurtenances for a term of one year at a rent of one peppercorn.
