He married 1859, Margaret Moore, widow (died 1864), by whom he had a son, Edward, born 1861. He married secondly, in 1865, Mary Ann Killin, widow, and by her had three children: Laura Tabbrer Ethel Mills Getley (1867) who married Charles William Davison, 1892), Henry Hallway Arthur Getley (1868 - 1901) and Unah (1873-1879) Includes packet of portrait photographs sent from Macnamara and Smith, solicitors, Sydney, NSW to Slatter and Gibbs, Stratford-upon-Avon.
