Description

Conveyance by John Shakespeare of Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman, to George Badger of the same place, draper, of a toft, and parcel of land in Henley Street between the tenement of John Shakespeare on the East and George Badger on the West being in width half a yard and extending in length 28 yards from Henley Street in the south to the Gyllpyttes in the North and then in the tenure of John Shakespeare in consideration of 50 shillings paid by George Badger to John Shakespeare Signed by the mark of John Shakespeare Seal lost. Witnessed Richard Lane, Henry Walker, Will: Courte 'scriptor',Tho. Locke and Tho Beasley. Dated 26 Jan 1596/7.
